A Pick’em Zone is an event that allows users to select specific positions (Stocks, ETFs or Options) to compete with. When signing up for a Pick’em Zone you will be prompted to select a position(s) from your existing portfolio. The Zone will have a maximum number of allowable positions. You can select up to the maximum number of positions or less. Once the Zone starts, the current value of each of the selected positions is locked in and that is the cost basis for which your performance is measured.
Important – You can only use the positions you selected during that Zone’s setup. For example, if you select an equity position in Ticker ABC, and you sell it, the empty slot can only be filled by another position from a Company that was selected during sign up
